Arthur Chrenkoff has another roundup of good news about Iraq since the handover. It bears noting that though Chrenkoff is promoting a positive spin, this is not just "happy talk" intended to put a smiley face on the war, occupation and transition. Chrenkoff's posts, like his previous reports, cull interesting developments from a variety of sources that show what is happening in the country at large.
These events and observations are not being reported in the mass media because they do not make headlines that can compete with car bombs going off and Saddam Hussein on trial. But they bespeak a sea change in Iraq that we should all be cheering on, regardless of differences over the war.
UPDATE: Blog o'RAM has a cool "weather map" of Iraq that visually displays red, yellow and blue flags, representing "hot spots" and "cool spots" based on recent news. Very illuminating! (Hat tip: Glenn Reynolds)
